DAP’s Tanjung Bungah assemblyman Teh Yee Cheu said he decided to skip the party’s special congress to aid his constituents who are still affected by last week’s massive floods . Teh said he is duty-bound to put the people’s interests first , and not politics . “ The central executive committee (CEC) re-election is not my priority at the moment . The people come first, ” he told reporters when met at Taman Seri Setia here , today. Teh said he received an invitation to attend today’s special congress but decided to turn it down . “ I do not have the heart to turn my back on my constituents by attending the re-election . They are more important than the party's agenda . ”
